This is my last post about our 2022 trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas. I hope the reader scrolls down at the end and takes time for the other 4 posts which are loaded with photos and comments. You can also use the blog tools on the top right anytime to "Search This Blog" by key subject words. Another blog tool is the "Archive" which lists everything I have posted since I began this blog in 2011. Clicking on the year brings up the posts by month and subject. Or you can simply keep the blog address in your Bookmarks and check whenever you have time, if you so choose. There are no longer automatic email notifications of a new post to the viewer as that was stopped by Google a few years ago. I have never had the names or emails of any viewers unless they comment. I do get stats in various ways as to what is viewed and the activity level. To date I have had about 500 views in the past month. I likely will reach about 50,000 views in the next few months from when I began in mid-2011 preparing for my retirement at the end of 201. Thank you all who have been a part of my visual and narrative journey! I hope you continue to view. It does make a great journal for me to enjoy in My Golden Years!
This post is all about The Garvan Woodland Gardens near where we stay in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It had typically been the only place we drove to after we checked into The Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa. It had been five years since we had visited it and I was very happy we took an afternoon on this trip! I was disappointed the past several trips when I was the only one that wanted to visit it and I did not drive my car or I would. The garden did raise the fee to $20 I noticed this trip. There were many changes as I expected in a garden walk but they have added to the old memories I have cherished for the past 20+ years. It brings me great joy! I hope this isn't the last time I visit.
I'm not taking the time to list all the plant names like I may have done in previous visits and blog posts. Just enjoy the photos as I will for many years to come. This last week of October has a wonderful combination of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas decorations to provided added variety to the plants. It is fun to see what is in bloom this late in the growing season! Enjoy and check out the Garvan Woodland Gardens website for more details, if you want.
